Marsland Mouth Beach

Marsland Mouth is a large pebble beach with some sand on the North Devon coast. The beach is only accessible on the coast path. The river that flows onto the beach is the county boundary between Devon and Cornwall.

The nearest car park is at Welcombe Mouth. From Welcombe Mouth, Marsland Mouth is about 30 minutes walking on the coast path which is very steep in places.

Directions:
Welcombe Mouth is about 14 miles from Bude (in North Cornwall) and 19 miles from Bideford. Take the A39 north from Bude or west from Bideford. Several miles north of Kilkhampton on the A39 there is a signposted turning to Welcombe. Follow this road through the small villages of Darracott and Mead and then turn left where signposted to Welcombe Mouth and follow this lane (which is narrow with an uneven and rough surface) to the car park above Welcombe Mouth Beach. Then take the coast path south to Marsland Mouth.
