The South Devon area has quite a varied selection of beaches including big family or surfing beaches, plus smaller quieter beaches. The pleasant towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are also well worth a visit.
The English Riviera encompasses the big seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. There are plenty of excellent beaches and a vast array of accomodation from which to choose, making the area perfect for family holidays.
East Devon also has a number of big seaside towns such as Dawlish, Exmouth, Sidmouth and Seaton and there are excellent beaches too.
West Devon is close to Plymouth and while there are fewer beaches here, there is still some great scenery to enjoy.
