Teignmouth

Description:
Teignmouth is a pleasant sea side town in East Devon with a long sandy beach. Facilities are close to Teignmouth Beach, including a promenade pier.

Various access points along the Teignmouth sea front, including ramps suitable for wheelchairs.
Dogs:
At Teignmouth dogs are banned from 1st May to 30th September from the lighthouse on the point to the slipway at Eastcliff.
Directions:
Teignmouth is 39 miles from Plymouth and 16 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 west and then turn onto the A380 (signposted to Teignmouth). From Plymouth take the A38 to Exeter and approaching Exeter, turn left just after Exeter Racecouse (signposted to Kennford and Kenn). At the next junction turn right and follow this road under the A38 and then go straight across at the next roundabout. Then take the next left (signposted to Teignmouth) and follow this road over the A380 and down onto the A380. Continue on the A380 south and then turn left onto the B3192 (signposted to Teignmouth) and continue on the B3192 to Teignmouth. From Plymouth there are shorter routes to Teignmouth via Newton Abbot, but it can be quite time consuming driving through Newton Abbot.
